How safe is Negril Jamaica, for a tourist?

I could go to Negril with my older sister (17 yrs. Old) and my mother in this Summer, because we found a vacation package for a good price. My mother was a bit concerned about the security. I looked at similar questions on Yahoo! Answers but they were all older than one year. We are looking for some current information about how safe it would be for the three women to travel to and stay in Negril a hotel (not all-inclusive) and go about the city alone. Any information would be very grateful! Thank you!

It is very safe if you ask bu ind these questions, I feel a little offended that you would ask someone, as if America is safe 24 7 … Of course it is not you will never know if something goes wrong wrong. plus, if there wasn't sure why it is a tourist attraction? but that's OK Negril is safe enough to my knowledge … I hope really helped

What is the best place to go on a honeymoon islands in the?

I AM honeymoon in September look for options to start with. I have never places to each of these so am for people, and who could recommend a few of the best islands have? I look forward to Aruba, Bahamas, Jamaica, St. Kits, Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, St. Lucia, etc. I am looking longer as the search for an all-inclusive package for 7-10 nights. Thanks for the help!

We went to St. Lucia and got married on the beach and it was beautiful. Just do not stay at a Sandals Resort! Or fly American Airlines. I have horror stories of the two. I also have to Aruba, and it is amazing! The sand is amazing. So I would recommend either but I would find another All-Inclusive Resort. Sandals, it is not worth what they make you to pay.

Need advice / information on All Inclusive Resorts in Jamaica and Mexico?

I want a month vacation at the end of this month or early next. I was looking at some all inclusive resorts in Mexico and Jamaica. Both locations are fairly cheap – can someone give me more information about how good / bad places to stay, why better than the other, etc. I want to know what to avoid and what to check and see. I'll go with my husband on an anniversary vacation, so that one adult or adult oriented place would be great. No kid needs work! We want to relax on the beach, hiking and exploring the natural landscapes.

Jamaica is a beautiful tropical island with warm and friendly people, good food and fun activities. I vacationed there since 2000-the year and I just can not wait to get holidays for 2007! just went there, in July and had the best trip ever. We climbed the Blue Mountain Peak, spent one night Whitfield Hall (about a third of the mountain), went to the hot springs at the Mineral Bath in St. Thomas. We swam with the dolphins at Dolphin Cove in Ocho Rios, and spent a few Nights at FDR Pebbles Resort in Trelawny. It was a great trip and there are so many fun activities there. There is the famous Dunns River Falls in Ocho Rios, Bamboo Rafting on the Martha Brae in Trelawny, the old fort in Port Royal, Hellshire beach, where you can eat a home-style Jamaican. My favorite place is Point Village Resort in Negril. It is a beautiful resort with a great view of the sunset and the staff always friendly and accommodating. I have also stayed at the Holiday Inn in Mobay where tons of daily activities and it is central to most attractions in the area Mobay. I, too, at FDR Pebbles in Trelawny remained (about half way between Mobay and Ocho Rios) and FDR in Runaway Bay. They are both great resorts with lots of fun activities. Of the four resorts Point Village offered the best package for the all-inclusive price. With FDR Pebbles close Holiday Inn second and third. FDR in Runaway Bay was the most expensive of the four places I stayed at. But could, if you are lucky and buy at the right time you get a lot of Negril at any of these Places. Is a beautiful city on the north-west region of the island. Ocho Rios is a beautiful city as Montego Bay is the tourist. In Montego Bay at the Holiday Inn Resort is located seven miles from Mobay airport (about 15 minutes drive). So, if you do not want to travel far, this is a really cool, too, resort, near the Hip Strip, where all the "happenings" are going on. It is also close to Margaritaville … the party instead! Jamaica is beautiful and the place has a bunch of activities that Jamaica is bound, so that you crave After more! Check it out you have time, a great one!
