secluded all inclusive vacations
Planning an island trip in August. Anyone have any unique destinations? Want something else instead.

old All-Inclusive week stay, including Bahamas a, Jamaica, Caribbean vacation. Nothing wrong with the vacation, but want something different. Like a desert island, with cabins, awesome beach, that not many people go to. Or just something different, but island theme. I know very difficult question, but worth a try. Thanks a million.

The island, which mentions an answerer named Marie-Galante has a population of 13,000. Try Culebra island off Puerto Rico. There are only a population of 1,800! There are no large hotels, only small guesthouses and villas. You have the whitest beaches you will ever see. The Travel Channel voted Flamenco Beach as one of the best beaches in the world! Many of the beaches are very quiet, plus there are small Islands surrounding Culebra. Its wonderful. Check it out & see what you think:) http://welcome.topuertorico.org/city/culebra.shtml http://www.culebra.org/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/ricangeek/ 292098584 / Http://www.flickr.com/photos/fernando_cuevas/1087648043/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/middoel/265969274/

Maldives Resort ideas?

Can anyone recommend to me a resort in the Maldives? I want to wade through the island have a reef / this is close enough Island to swim to. Accommodation to be comfortable, quiet and secluded. Preferably, an all-inclusive package. Any ideas people?

Hi Greebo you get some good answers already, but I would add – - all islands to be comfortable / quiet / secluded, so some of the available resorts within your budget. – Not all hotels offer "all inclusive" so narrow your search to only these. – Look at aerial photographs in the final list to see how big the lagoon – You are correct, as some islands have huge lagoons, it is difficult to swim to the reef. On the islands with large lagoons, some of them have a "raft" for snorkelers to rest and others will have daily (additional) boat, take you to a good snorkeling spot for a few hours. Iceland is Paradise cheap & cheerful, offers all-inc, and has a free snorkeling boat twice a day. Vilamendhoo has an excellent reef for snorkeling, and very close, but the island is for refurb at the moment closed (scheduled to open again this year, last I heard). Any questions ask here or send me a message. Good luck in your choice and have a nice holiday! PS – something strange is happening on Answers – I answered this question 2 days ago, but my message has disappeared! Any other experienced it?
